Adult Services Librarian (Librarian I)
The East Greenbush Community Library is seeking a dynamic, community-focused individual who is technologically savvy, and works well in a team environment. Equally comfortable providing enthusiastic public service as well as managing library collections. The successful applicant will be engaged and possess a community focused “How can I make this happen” approach. Also required; a superior knowledge of library and technology trends, coupled with excellent reference, readers advisory, technology instruction, collection management skills, and flexibility to embrace new projects and assignments.
$44,243 per year with benefits
37.5 hours per week. Some flexibility is required; schedule may include daytime, evening, and/or weekend hours. The current schedule includes daytime hours with at least one night a week, and participation in the weekend rotation.
MLS required from ALA accredited school. Possession of a NYS Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate. Must be eligible for a provisional appointment as a Librarian I under civil service.
