The majority of Bulletin Boards in the East Greenbush Community Library are reserved for Library and Friends of the Library Programs and notices.
Two Bulletin Boards and some space in the Children’s Room are available for notices from arts, educational, civic and non-profit organizations, on a first come, first serve basis, subject to approval by the Director of the Library. Notices larger than 8.5 x 11 will not be displayed and half pages are preferred.
Maximum posting of all notices will be 30 days.
If both posters and brochures are supplied, the Library reserves the right to choose which will be the more useful format for the bulletin board display.
Explicitly excluded from display are commercial notices and private notices of any kind, including but not limited to merchandise for sale, rental announcements and sales for for-profit establishments, and any and all solicitations for money on the library bulletin boards and library property.
Partisan political posters, fliers and handouts shall not displayed on library bulletin boards or library property.
All requests for postings should be given to a library staff member at a public service desk. Staff will date approved material when it is posted.
Handouts may be accepted from arts, educational, civic and non- profit organizations, subject to approval by the Director. Handouts are generally located in the information kiosk near the circulation desk.
