The East Greenbush Community Library is meivending.com pleased to offer several new programs this fall that will assist job seekers and English language learners. These programs are made possible through partnerships with the Rensselaer County OneStop job center and QUESTAR III educational services and by a grant from the Upper Hudson Library System. The grant will also allow the library to redesign the former literacy room to serve as a new Education and Employment Resource Center. Social Networking in Your Job Search

Wednesday, May 14, 3:00-4:00 pm Registration begins April 21

In this one-hour workshop, you will be introduced to the popular social networking internet sites LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.  You will learn how to use these sites to locate job opportunities, market yourself, and network with potential employers.

 

ESOL, English for Speakers of Other Languages

This program teaches speaking, listening, reading and writing. The program is appropriate for students for whom English is not their first language, and are 21 years of age or older.
